Re: A new build......seriously the stuff of legend
In my experience, if I sell a car because it is costing to much money or taking to long I end up regretting it until I buy another one that takes twice as long and twice as much money ... and still is not done ... and in the case of my Gen 5 H22 turbo Accord ... way way way harder to find parts for ...

Re: fluid change
I personally use Motul for the trans and diff, and MobileOne for engine, but honestly, your best off using the same thing regardless of brand time and time again as soon as it is rebuilt rather than worrying about what is "best" and changing things up. Using high dollar stuff in a clapped out diff t...

Re: A new build......seriously the stuff of legend
Yeah, those vacuum lines look really nice, but unless you have completely solid motor mounts (and enjoy feeling like you are driving a paint mixer) they are going to crack and leak PDQ. Would still look nice and hold out longer if the block was mounted to the ITB's somehow ... instead of the frame r...

Re: A new build......seriously the stuff of legend
You might try a 90 degree barb as well, and just use hose on either side of it.

Re: E85 for 4AGZE/GTE
The benefit of running E85 is being able to run more boost or higher compression ratio ... or a combination thereof (it is essentially a higher octane fuel, and comparable to mid grade race gas) . Just converting a car from dinosaur juice to corn juice will do nothing on its own as far as power gain...

Re: A new build......seriously the stuff of legend
Good information. So, it turns out HKS doesn't even know what the specs are on their own springs, when you contact HKS Japan they tell you to call your regional headquarters and they don't have the information. How a gigantic nationwide company doesn't have this information is beyond me. They've de...

Re: A new build......seriously the stuff of legend
Whether adding lift helps a motor is wholly dependent on port shape, runner volume/shape, and cylinder volume ... More lift however does not make up for less duration, just as more duration does not make up for less lift. Lift can be used to adjust charge air pressure on NA motors similar to what ha...

Re: A new build......seriously the stuff of legend
On the switch issue. I had the same thing happening to mine. It is not the wiring. I switched out connectors, repinned wires, everything trying to fix it. Turns out it is the contacts inside the switch are pulled apart if the weight from the wires justles the switch or is pulling on it at all. I bou...
