yea +1 if your car isnt lowered at the moment then the rcas are not needed and should be taken off untill a lower ride is set up The car is lowered...! is about 2" lowered. I jut said is not any lower than before I swapped the OE shocks for the KYB short strokes... So the ride height iss the same.....
Well... is not any lower than before. That's what is strange! The car was already lowered aprox 2" and I re used the same springs (Tanabe GF's with 1 coil chopped) So the overall height of the car is the same. The wheel gap is the same as before. I don't have camber plates... and yes, some negative ...
OK, job done! :D ... but a new problem arised. As always, looking for some light from the 86 masters... So the shop did a clean job... they end up cutting the 40mm from the top of the strut case and re did the thread. They also cut some 18mm spacer for the botom of the strut. The AGX's short stroke ...
it does make sense... however I'm worried about what ga_goosh just said: "if you cut below the perch you will drop your car 40mm more than expected" Is this true? I guess it is... and that would be a big problem. I'm not worried about the welds showing... I can ask the shop to re inforce the strut i...
Hi Guys, So finally I'm doing some suspension work today and I have a question as I'm about to hack the front strut cases. I'm installing a short stroke KYB set up with Plain sport lowering springs. Maybe I'll go the full coilover route later on. The springs I will be using for the moment are a set ...
I rode on cut springs and there is nothing like the feel of tire hitting fender and that sucks major A**. Well you could go with the set up that was said above , Or.....get megan springs and Tokyco blues and Tanabe anti-sway bars and some spacers and run on 15's as in rim and you should have your s...
i've been riding on agx sw20 w/ 450lbs springs in the front and camaro qa1 12way adjustable coilovers in the rear w/ 350lbs springs for 4+years. it's comfortable and adjustable. it could adjust it softer if i wanted to. if you're really all about just comfort, go 350lbs springs front and 300lbs rea...
Ok, so my recently purchased 86 coupe came with OE chopped springs and OE shocks with like a 2-2.25" drop. It handles horribly! I'm NOT looking for a track ready set up. I just want something relatively confortable but responsive and stiff enough to go for some spirited cannyon drives every once in ...
Great info dr.occa!! Thx I've been doing some research by my self as well... and got to the same conclusions you posted. But just to make sure I got this right: -Kouki axels are thicker than Zenki's -GTS (LSD axels) are shorter than SR5 axles So, my best bet is to find a Kouki LSD, either an OE from...
