New guy...

Posted up in my buddy's thread but here's mine. My name is McKenney and I lve in Garland. I have had 4 Corolla(2 TE72 and 2 AE86) 3 of which I still have... My first was a 1980 coupe, 3TC 5 speed, slammed with snowflakes and gutted. I loved that car! I did 2 10" electric fans, Isky cam, Doug Thorley long tube and a 40 series Flowmaster dumped behind the driver's seat. It had a welded stock diff with 4.10 gears. Built a custom gauge pod where the ash tray bolted in and used a 1977 Celica console to tie it into the rear part of the stock console. Sold it 'cuz a little one was coming and needed a better(smoother) ride for the kiddo(and a back seat). Went 2 years before the itch took over again and picked up an 82 hatchback 3TC 5 spd car from my old roommate... Hated it cuz it was nothing like my 1980. Sold it to a friend who, now due to medical reasons, can't drive. So now I have reacquired it. So I came across an 87 coupe for sale that a friend of mine had and dove in head first. Bought it last year on groundhog's day. It's my daily driver with only a few mods. It has a K&N air filter, MKIII Supra muffler, under axle exhaust, MSD coil, cut springs, TRD 1.5 way LSD with TRD 4.30 gears and Strange axles, it has a redtop bottom end with a blue top head... And it IS the original motor... Mine is a very late 87 model... one of the last 15 rwd ones to be exact. The other car I have is a project, it's an 85 GTS coupe... with a cage... that's about it. Traded some old stuff I had laying around for it and the diff that's in my 87 came out of it. Luckily for me the guy who had the car before me didn't know that!!!!


We need to get a DFW area meet together... After it warms up of course. For any of you interested JDMwhiteboy and myself will be at Mineral Wells on the 21 of February for the drift meet... Love to see ya there.

Thanks for the warm welcome. The wheels on the hatch are really rare Carroll Shelby wheels. One of the only(if not the only) import anything to ever bear his name. Mine wears 14x7 Celica Supras. Is NST gonna be at the Feb meet in Mineral Wells?

Yeah I got it off this pos sr5 with gay bumpers that dont fit right. Id like to find the guy who made em and kick his teeth in.
