Welcome to 86garage Kaylynn.

I've had a couple MR2s myself, and your overheating issue may be as simple as the coolant system needing a good flush and bleeding. Since the AW11 radiator is in the front, and the engine is in the rear, proper bleeding is more intricate than most other cars. You should start with that and move forward from there.

Good luck and have fun with all your projects!

the guy i sold it to took it to his shop and did a block test. it did turn out to be the head gasket, but he plans on pulling the head off tomorrow. its funny, he hated the car for the past 4 years when i've been searching for one to buy, but he fell in love with it after driving it.

and to everyone else: thanks for all the welcomes :)

LOL I would one day love to get in a MR2 but all the ones I find are like 2k and up even with major engine prolbems. And were not even talking about the supercharged ones.

Even if they're over 2k, they're completely worth it :)

Which car were you?
Honestly, I'm having trouble matching screen names to cars. I don't think I even met everyone.
