Post by Scooter979 »

Yo I'm scooter of college station tx aka sink hole tx
For the last 10 years I have hunted for any ae86 but could
Never get one or afford one

But finally got a 84 sr5 hatch back running for $600

And have been working on it since day one but I'm not looking
To do a motor swap I'm thinking of taking a challenge and building
Up the 4ac so if reading this I am also looking for help with any kind
Of parts I can get will make a wtb list and help out post soon

Thank scooter

its cool that youve finally found your car bro. although you can get pretty okay power out of a 4ac, and ive done so... in retrospect it is prohibitively expensive and i wouldve done a motor swap. however, if you just want to daily the car and cruise around, the 4ac is a great engine

Well it will cost and I know that sadly but I really like the mpg from this engine so far and love the stock handeling so far elctric fan vacumline delet new carb filter new fluid in the tran and dif cleand gas lines and carb and it's running good

But looking to get a lighter flywheel stock celica supra rims 1 or 2 inch drop no body kit fiberglass hatch fenders hood and doors that there is going to be 2k Plus easy in fiberglass

But I want a mr2 lower block for the stronger cranks and rods then the paradise racing kit with the 272 cams and valve springs with new rocker arms shaved head but the real kicker will be a quad carb act just like fuel injection and with the lighter parts oh yeah custom aluminum Pullys and headers hope to hit very high mpg low hp like 150+range but great power to weight ratio is what I really want I'm more of a grip track racer but like the slight slide and control this car gives back when you learn the car
