Hey guys im new to the AE86 scene i just bought a 1987 sr5 i dont know what motor it has I will post pics though. It has an auto trans that is bad and a few dents and dings nothing terrible though. Im not going to be able to start on my build until next month but i would like to learn as much as I can about these cars until then. Here are some pics of my car.

The car runs pretty strong I bought it and drove it 40 miles home no problems it has a few vacuum lines off I need to find where they go I just haven't had a chance to do so lately. the trans only goes in forward and over drive rarely kicks on. The motor also has an exhaust leak I am planning on buying a header for it and fixing it all at once can I get a decent amount of power out of the 4ac ?
i would say change to a manual and do a 4ag. especially since they arnt too hard to find. the 4ac is a turd and not supported by aftermarket as much as the 4ag. running that blue top at GGP? im going to be there with my Iroc Z. How much are you going to want for that motor and what do you have to do to make it carbed just take intake off my 4ac and bolt it up? I am also looking for a manual trans if anyone has one they want to sell/ partial trade I have a clean GTS drivers seat
