welcome to 86garage. what brought about the move to the valley: family?
welcome again, just the same.
inertia (saul) and erickz300 still have family down there but inertia would know better than me what to expect down there in regards to 86s.
great job on the chassis and the upper 4 link fab. was just recommending that to a fellow 86garage member on a separate thread.

thank you everyone.
my whole family decided to move. we had lived here previously when i was in high school. i thought it would be a lot of fun like it used to be, but, it isn't. all my friends are already married. i just turned 24, everyone gets married really young here.
so, everything is perfect to get deep into racing, only problem is, only thing here is drag racing. i am no longer into that and don't have the car for it either. closest autocross events are in corpus cristi that i have found so far. no drifting...
i have seen you on club4ag as well (hondarue) and i believe i have also seen dr.occa

Im from brownsville and, so is inertia, and am now residing in houston.
I feel you on the street "drag" racing scene. you see nothing but honda and mustangs all over the place. i think they still hang out in harligen.
I might go down to the valley on the 27th of this month. im currently getting in touch with some friends about some sliding spots
It'll be cool to hang out. by the way NICE CAR

check out what what they call the devils back bone in harlingen. if its still there. we used to have a group of people that would go out drifting all around mcallen and mission area. but that has since fallen apart.

thank you Alan. Also thank you for inviting me to this forum.
It would be really cool to go out to houston some time soon. definatelly interested in that nst event. i lived in spring for a short time while i was attending uti. still stay in touch with a couple people out there. one of them owns an s14.
not exactly sure where "devil's back bone" is. i did a google search with no result. very intersted in going, would be nice to have a spot to practice drifting at, not that good at it either.
sent a pm to jomon_8six hopefully we meet sometime.
thank you everyone

Re: .
"devils back bone" is a windy twist under an over pass in harlingen. it used to be one of those late night drift spot. could go thru a few times but then had to leave due to cops. then the put a light on it killing most of it. if you want a place to mess around a little longer, there are some warehouse's out in south mcallen. not sure how the cops are there now. but then they were few and far between. i also went to school with one of the guards.85levin wrote:thank you Alan.
