Greetings from West Texas

Growing up in West Texas, there exists a preponderance of V8s with the majority being either pickups. My love of imports started at an early age and has never relented. I am here because I bought my son an '86 GT-S Coupe that needs some work. Why? I had two Corollas while in school back in the day and absolutely loved them.

I have to say, my son and I are having a blast working on his first car together and I enjoy explaining to do this or that and how things work. He is having a lot of fun browsing the internet as well for ideas on which direction he wants to go.

Here is a pic of what it looked like when we picked it up.

I have neglected to take pics to update its status as we have been working on it, but I look forward to being on the site.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Reading through a number of the introductions, it seems that there are quite a few people who came from the Nissan community. Here in Lubbock there isn't a real big Toyota community, let alone Corolla culture. I look forward to lurking here. ;)

My buddy Matt is the only other person I know here who has Toyotas--a Cressida and an AE86 SR5 coupe that he is doing a TOTAL S13 suspension and SR20DET conversion
