Hey fellas, great to see a corolla forum that is a little closer to home. I am from Tulsa and recently just picked up my 3rd AE. In highschool I bought a gts hatch which I sold and another white gts shortly after that. Loved the crap out of that thing and once the 4AGE blew up @ a whopping 266k I decided to go gze (this was 5-6 years ago) which was a horrible idea. Got motor in, couldn't get it wired, payed alot of money to have people hack wiring to bits, and ultimately sold the car.

After owning my fair share of supras and sti's I realized that the only car I wanted to drive was a corolla and nothing else was going to give me those genuine "willies" like a good ol' AE86. I sold off all my cars, bought a gsxr and began searching for corollas. I was lucky enough to find a mint sr5 here locally that had full gts swap. It is running on twin dellorto DHLA40's which I am still learning about. I just wanted to pop in and say hi, I have been an active member on all the other corolla forums for 10+ years. Good to see dr.occa is a mod, I've read quite a bit of helpful post from him on club4ag. (Dr.occa, I have Tulsaturbos old car which I saw you referenced a few times in the ingition thread)

Enough of my long windedness, I've been on forums long enough to know that it's all about the pics.
Heres my new baby and some small progress she's made in the last month.

Dug through my moms garage and found some old parts that I forgot about

painted the enkeis bronze and found out that one rim is beyond repair. O well, a pair of wheels, is a pair of wheels. Threw two on and painted my rear sr5 rims to match

Bought a weber/dellorto carb book, AEM UEGO and a pair of Rotas since I am sick of looking at those sr5 wheels (will pick up other pair shortly). Tokico blues and megan springs are on their way in the mail which I can hopefully throw on this weekend. Need to pick up a lateral rod next paycheck to center that rear.

Also painted my cam cover and will paint the valve covers to match here soon

And the new shoes that were mounted yesterday (need to get more pics)

I'll probably start a build log or something, lots of goodies coming in and some nice subtle changes on the way

Thanks fellas, hopefully once I get this thing set up a little better I can come down to a mineral wells event if those still happen.

I am an engine bay nazi so it will be looking a lot cleaner soon. I'll paint those valve covers to match and pull off my washer fluid containters and such and sand it all a bit and spray with clear. Just to give it a little life again.

Need to snap a side shot of it with the new rims. I am pretty suprised how good these rotas look. I have always had longchamps or starsharks in the past but they are just way out of my wheel budget at the moment.

Welcome to the boards claricae86. So you ended up with MasterChief's carb'd 86. Very cool. Very cool indeed.

Yes sir it is, luckily John is a very knowledgable dude and seems to have the car jetted pretty well for our current climate. The idle was a bit rough but I turned in the idle adjustment screw a smidge and she idles pretty happily at 1100 rpm. I need to get this wideband thrown on and see where the AFRs are at. Will probably look into a fixed timing computer and 6al in the future. I know the fixed timing with the hei ignitor works but may not be the best for engine longevity.

I gotta say, hearing those carbs scream as I get on the highway every morning is awesome. Definitely a big smile on this guys face.
