New guy from Corpus Christi, TX.

Post by ColorollaAE86 »

What's up everyone?! I'm Andrew and this is my AE86 as of now. It has some problems, but nothing major since I still drive it everyday. Anyways, let me know what ya'll think and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It has a noise in the rear axle, shocks are blown, needs a new power steering rack, needs a new radiator, completely rusted through under the tail lights behind the bumper, needs fenders, and a few other minor things on the interior since it sat for 7 years. I bought the ignitor and fuel pump for it, installed them that day and it started right up like it didn't sit at all. The best part about this car is I bought it for only $350!!

free + shipping. i swapped to a manual rack and my power unit is useless to me now. it was looped and ps pump removed. it also has the inner and outer tie rods and the u joint but the tie rods are pretty loose so i would suggest new ones but they can still be used tho.

GOOD SCORE! i like it. I bet that felt great starting it up for the first time. I had noise in my rear axle when i got mine. After replacing the bearings it was riding smooth.

Oh yeah, it felt awesome. I buy the car for $350 and spent about $200 to get it to started. Then I bought other things it needed to be driven like brakes, brake and clutch master cylinder, a tune-up, fuel filter, camshaft oil seals, water pump, timing belt, and alternator. Now I think it needs an O2 sensor cuz its running rich, you can smell it sitting there. Oh yeah, I also needed an exhaust for it so I had the local muffler shop weld a used cat and turbo muffler for $150.

Yeah, and it only cost me $105 to get it registered in my name. That included the sticker, the fees, and everything else.
