Long story short, I bought my first car in 2003, a week or two after buying my car this Corolla came up for sale. I wanted it, but there was no way I could get it. So I convinced a friend to buy it. He's had it for ten years, and I've wanted it ever since. This is the first car I modified, it has a lot of memories wrapped up in it.
He finally decided to give it to me since he couldn't take care of it. It's in rough shape, and has been sitting for over a year, I can't wait to get into fighting shape and build the car I wanted in high school. All I had to do was drive it 600 miles home from Oceanside.
Although right now my attention is split between the Corolla and the Miata I've been using for PDX and autocrossing.

Welcome to 86Garage Zissou. Miatas and AE86s are a great pair of cars. Hell, the B6ZE is already a better engine than the 4AG I'm sorry to say.

Maybe if you're planning on boosting, I like the low end pep the TVIS gives. I guess the saving grace of the Miata motors is they're built for boost.
I just like driving slow cars though, haha. It's all much more fun to have your foot down than worry about modulating the throttle.
