Hello, I'm known as Ataki, and a search for engine information led me to the site. I don't currently have an AE86, Though I would love to. I do have an AE82 FX that I just bought, That's going to be my daily/project car for a while. I look forward to meeting everyone, and helping out or hindering where I can.

Very cool car. This is definitely the right forum for knowledge. What engine did yours end up with? 4A-ELU or 4A-GELU?

You will benefit greatly from all of the front wheel drive 4AG parts that people are so anxious to get rid of.

It's definitely a bit rough around the edges, But it runs good, and the interior is in decent shape. So I think it's worth the $500 I paid.
(sorry about the picture quality, taken at work with my cell..)

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind, though driveline is somewhat low on my list of mods for right now. Next step is going to be a vacuum delete, and when I get paid, a carb swap. the factory Aisin is in less than perfect condition.

I had a buddy back in high school who had the 4AF model and we tore around town in it all the time. Very dependable and fun little car. Oh, this was back in 89 :).

It really is starting to grow on me, I've always loved a small light hatch. Just completed the vacuum delete yesterday, Which helped out a lot. It actually runs quite well now.

Some progress! Picked up a weber kit off of Milhouse86 a couple of weeks ago, and after some fiddling trying to get the heater plate to seal, It's installed.

Runs perfect now, More power, great idle! Just have to finish cleaning up things, and scrapping the rest of the emissions stuff. First i have to get a new water pump, as the bearings in the one I have locked up on my way to work this morning. It got sort of hot before I could pull off the highway, I hope there's no real damage done.
