What's up! I just picked up a Corolla 3 days ago and Mike (NST) referred this site to me. His exact words "Join 86garage is the best advise I can give you to start on your new project" So here I am.

My daily driver is a Yaris TS 1.8L dual vvt-i. Some things share in common the Yaris and the 86. Both are small, lightweight, good handling underpowered econoboxes...

I been wanting a 86 for long time and finally ran into a clean one!

About the car:

1986 US spec SR5 Coupe
Recently swapped (2 months ago) BlueTop and T-50 tranny
The Engine was opened, checked and refreshed before going in.

The car came with a few extra goodies: New Konig wheels, Bucket seats from an early gen Impreza GT and a Momo sterring wheel.

My plan is finish the GT-S conversion (LSD, rear brakes, and GT-S bumpers and side skirts) and then going the turbo route.

I'm Shooting for 200rwhp on a first stage and 250-300rwhp on a later stage.

As part of the deal I picked a rare Trust (Greddy) 4AGE Turbo Manifold.

I realize I have a lot to learn and the project course might change but in the mean time I will be looking around your forum..!

And finally the pics:

welcome aboard CASTREX. yes, NST is highly regarded here on 86garage.

your "square 1" is already a good start. the bucket seats are pristine. looks like the suspension will need attention (unintentional rhyme).

well, hopefully our community can offer you a regular place to stay. some of us are Club4ag members but some of us also prefer 86garage because there's less drama and mainly straight to business.

glad to have you.

Welcome to 86garage sir! Glad to have you here.

For everyone else, CASTREX is a very big NST supporter on the Yaris forums, so take good care of him while he is with us on 86garage.

Thanks! to all...

Looking forward to browse the forum.

And yes, the suspension needs urgent attention!! What you see there are chopped OEM springs

The car is really clean... I believe that's the most important thing. The rest will come with time!

The buckets are in perfect condition! By the color and cloth they even look like OE seats.
