Well next year is here already, the car is up and running on megasquirt which was a real struggle but so far so good.

Been out twice with it and captured event FTD both times.

Here's vid from todays event,2st vid is on dot r-comps(not too grippy on a light car)and the 2nd on proper hoosier slicks.

Thanks, for the regional classing(based on scca classes)I'm running in b-mod and for the event to day its simply open mod.

I have some very big wings(20 sq ft of area total-max allowed under the rules) waiting to go on,can't wait to see what its like to drive then.

very cool tom. what did you do for reverse? im not down for the quafe units to expesive.looks like it may be the starter route for me.also im eyeballing 1500gl gullwing motor and a couple bmw bike motors that already have electric reverse built in. also this will most likely be 4wd with the 88.5 sami transfer case and a set of subi r160 diffs as they can be flipped with no mods for bearing lube. point being it will be offroad and i dont know if the electric reverse will cut it.

I didn't do anything for reverse,I was going to mount a small dia ring gear to the pinion of the diff and run a starter but never got around to it.Yes the quaife is too expensive for sure.

I just got home from an event, the FTD streak is still alive-the cars been to 5 events and earned 5 ftds.I was 3 seconds clear of the next fastest car,I gapped out and forgot the gopro so no vids-sorry kids. :)

Thanks, another event this saturday-I'll bring the gopro for sure.

Building rear wing mounts now, won't have wings for this weekend but should for the following event.New stiffer springs to go with the wings as well at the ready.

Thanks,I don't know about talent but I works pretty fast.I built that mount in about 6 hours including building a rig to hold that sucker exactly where I wanted it while the rest was figured out.

Well I think it was fast anyways, a real professional would likely smoke that time with better quality-still not bad for a carpenter I guess.

Yesterdays autox was bloody hot, anyways I set FTD but only by 1/2 second as I let a fellow competitor who's car broke down drive it(he and another guy did the megasquirt install). He was pretty ragged with spins and cones on all but his last run, which he cracked a flyer and came way to close to beating me.Next closest cars were back about 2 seconds.
I have at least 80lbs on him(he's a skinny little bugger) so I'm blaming that. :-D

Here's the vid, this is the last and fastest run.
