Re: My new build
i can understand the burnout syndrome tom. so we're seeing about .16 hp/lb na at 900lbs where as i'm approximating about .06hp/lbs for my setup and an average GTS 86 is about .04hp/lbs.

I guess, don't have my trusty calculator in front of me.
I always do lbs per hp instead of the hp per lb as you've shown.

Re: My new build
The chassis is now painted and reassembled with the engine back in and the aluminum floor installed.I'll try and take a picture or 2 tomorrow night as it looks pretty good considering it was painted with a brush and the total cost was about $20.
Fuel tank is built and installed, the steering rack is done and installed, the wiring is started, the shifter set-up is well underway, the driveshaft lenght will be sorted out in the next couple of days and the custom stainless flex lines are ordered along with some other brake line fittings and such.
The collector for the header is fabricated and I'll start building the header over the next week as well.

Not yet, maybe this weekend after I get some other things done to go along with them.I built the header last weekend and hopefully the welder guy has it ready tomorrow to pickup,I couldn't find stainless wire for my mig so I'll let him tig it up for me.

Re: My new build
Well I'm not all that happy with it,I only had 1 stock header to cut up and it really limited my routing of the tubes and I couldn't get anywhere near equal lenght. With my limited budget and REALLY limited timeframe it'll have to do for now.

Re: My new build
Stopped in to check on the header today, still not done. Can't complain as they are unofficially sponsoring me-he doesn't want anyone to know he's helping me and won't take any money for the material/time spent on the stuff so I consider that a major sponsor.
I'm making templates for the body panels tonight, the car goes in at the end of the week for them to build the sheet metal firewall around the engine so I'm going to try and sneak in the cutting of all the panels as well.
If that all plays out I'll take some pictures at that point,I hate those build threads(the locost forums seem really bad for that) that show every single friggin bolt or weld etc so I'm not doing the same.
