Chevrolet Vs Ford

I didn't want to continue to add to the Camaro FD thread......
I love working on Chevrolet's, they are easy, predictable and they keep everything simple for the most part. I can diagnose and repair a Chevrolet quickly with little experience with the vehicle.
BUT, Fords generally are more technologically advanced. They experiment with different ways of doing things, such as quick connect a/c connections, when in theory are awesome but after 15 years of service are a PITA to disconnect sometimes. It took Chevrolet until 01-02 to get a DIS on their v8's while ford had EDIS on some dating back to the early 90s. Ford also placed their distributor in front of the engine which makes so much more sense. They also immediately implicated MPFI in their "Fuel Injected" models instead of chevrolet's "Fuel Injected" models that included a throttle body and one or two huge injectors that dumped fuel randomly.

the panoz needed a better driver. the line he/she was taking was terrible.
that corvette was obviously "setup". nice line for the short amount of time it was visible in the front windshield.

another note is just by watching the vid, that corvette and the panoz are in totally separate classes. not really a fair comparison given that detail. i could be wrong but assuming the driver was pushing the panoz, then that would be more of A Stock prepared class and the vette more Super Stock using SCCA classes for illustration.

in some instances
and vice versa.
all the cooler fords are everywhere else (namely uk and ozzieland) but at home!
i will admit though that i prefer the ford bodyline of say the fpv gt-cobra over any of the new gm models that are currently out e.g. camaro, vette, cobalt...is there another one?
the revamped and modernized 64 mustang bodyline remains a lot truer to form than gm's attempt at resurrecting the camaro in my opinion. if gm ever decides to revamp the 70-71 RS chassis i may change my tune (depending if it's a faithful resurrection with modern panache...i like ford's
concept COBRA for the 21st century)
