Is there something unique about the color of this 2TG valve cover as well? I remember certain valve cover colors designating something.

2tg stock valve cover only come in black as far as I know. But how did it go in there.

the fact that it's in a datsun 1600, i wouldn't be surprised if the original transplanter painted the valve cover. but it looks like the swap was done before some of ya'll were born.

it's a 2TG motore. essentially the dohc version of the 3TC but it's it a datsun fairlady vert of all things.

Toyota built this motor to compete with Porsche back in 70s. One of the first generation of twin cam motor. Same design with 2000GT engine but 4 cylinder. Come with side draft Mikuni from the factory.

Yes Kameari has all the hardcore stuff but way too expensive.

Yea I just took a look at the site and your right its expensive. So I take it that since toyota built that engine to compete with porche then that engine has to be one of a kind and sound pretty good! im starting to like it slowly. What kind of car would you find that in?

it's a jdm motor it came efi but people alway swap to side draft and they also put a 3tc block and a 2tg head
