not nessicarily. the vans and trucks get a lm motor. it is basically the same as a ls but it has milder cams cast block and smaller pistons. my dad got one out of a tahoe to put in a 84 el caminomooreofit wrote:car-part.com
ls motors are all modular. 5.3 5.7 6.0 and so on.
if you search for the comaro motor yes it will be expensive but they also put the same versions in the vans and trucks

no chevy guys here i guess.. o well, i agree its a bit much, $2500 would be a fair price for a complete LS1 change over, I dont know where 1500 hundred comes in, im a junkyard king and have never seen prices that low for an ls1. You can get an LT1 setup for about 1500 and those came in everything, but the aluminum blocked, aluminum head ls1 did not come in vans or trucks at all
