Need: A/C Bracket w/Pulley

Post by tex »

Anyone happen to have an a/c bracket with the idler pulley connected to it? I think it comes off an mr2. I just installed my a/c back on my bluetop, but I'm not using power steering, and think I need this bracket to get it working right. If there's another way to do this, I'm all ears.

With help from Mckenney we reversed the tension on the stock one and changed the pulley so it works. Pm him and he will break down the parts needed.

Was the original pulley connected to the power steering bracket, or was it a seperate bracket? Heres a pick of my current setup , but there is one gap like either the power steering bracket was there, or something. Either way, I no longer have my power steering bracket. My compressor bracket is still firmly attached with 3 other large bolts to the block, so this gap doesnt really bother me. Ignore the nasty ac compressor, I'm out of cleaner at the moment.

That gap is where your power steering goes the beaker you need is of an mr2 aw11 and if your near san antonio there are 2 at pick n pull off highway 16 and they both have the bracket you need with pully...

Thanks. Ya, I figured it was mr2, but san antonio is a long ways from me, but I'm sure I can find a few mr2's around here. Unless someone has one they don't need that is, I'd rather my money go to someone here than a junkyard.
