I dont know... my hands are up in this situation.
L.C. Hamilton is an incredible driver. He took a stock european something or other and demolished other peoples times in the same car with never having driven the course or the car before as well as the course being wet (something the other drivers didnt have to deal with). This was all on an episode of top gear (or whatever that british show is), so I'm not sure the legitamacy of it. And I'm not sure but I thought F1 ran in Suzuka....... I remember Ayrton Senna driving Suzuka all the time...... maybe it changed... I dont know havent paid attention in a while.
Ueo is hands down my favorite drifter (before he started driving s-chassis's). He has experience in an AE86 since before my first day of school. He drives balls out no matter what, and he knows how to handle low power like nobodies business. But I've never seen him seriously compete in a road racing/time attack format. Even when they did the Tsukuba super lap battle with his car Orido and Keiichi drove it.
Right now... I'm not sure.... but I'll put my money on L.C. Hamiltion anyway.

i would have to put my money on Ueo due to the fact that he is a drifter. due to the fact that he is a drifter he knows how to push the limits of the slip angle. so he can push the car thru the corners faster and know just when to stop before slipping. thus getting the full amount of grip possible from the tires.

lol This dude is an F1 driver... he isnt that noob. F1 cars are relatively loose in comparison to your average daily driven car.
Also I assume there would be warm up and practice laps. It wouldnt be very realistic to just throw any driver in any car and expect them to do well..... unless it was their own car lol. In that case I would have to say put L.C. Hamilton in his personal Mercedes McLaren SLR against Ueo and his AE86. But that wouldnt be fair at all lol.

everyone has submitted valid points on both drivers (o.g. specifically w/ hamilton and the rest for katsuhiro).
still given the cars and track, strengths and experience of both drivers, i still believe the advantage still falls to ueo primarily because of his obvious intimacy w/ his own car at the platform. placed in another 86 (namely imamura's), he appeared to be a fish out of water when it came to controlling the vehicle.
i'm sure hamilton is also very skilled with an innate ability to quickly adapt to new cars but w/ ueo in his own 86 (almost an unfair advantage) i'm favoring katsuhiro.
i'm enjoying the insight from everyone.

if everyone feels there's been enough dialogue then just post a response.landslideATX wrote:dr.occa wrote: i'm enjoying the insight from everyone.

example: win=so and so
this way, everyone votes only once and there are no over inflated polls that could make it easy for people to vote mulitple times.
i'll talley them up and according to votes determine the winner of the challenge.
