Not many places keep parts for an 80's corolla on stock. but I must say Oreillys will have the part somewhere, but they have it.

well some times it also comes down to the people. i got lucky, i have mckenney. but i have delt with some dumb ones. One time i was parked in front of a oreillys with the hood up on my 240sx (all stock with the ka24 btw). I was adding p/s fluid and one of the guys working there walks up and ask, "nice car, are you turbo?" I looked at him. then down at my motor. then back up to him. "no" -_-

Hahaha

When I went in for my headbolts
I told them the year and everything and they didnt have any in stock
But they Can get some shipped
So I paid for the set to be shipped in
And they call me back about a hour later or so
Sayin that they can't even get them
Wasn't too happy

well when it comes to head bolts why not just spend the extra and get ARP. If theres anything I have learned its spend the extra week to save the money to get the good stuff.

Yea but I didn't have the extra money to get the ARP
I just needed the stock bolts
I wanted the ARP but it's a stock motor and I need to get the motor out of my friends place
Can't work on it at my place cuz I live in a apartment LOL
But later down the road it will have ARP bolts in it
Oh and the water pump the 4ag, does it need a gasket or a o-ring?
Cuz it looks like there was a o-ring that would go there but the o-rings that toyota sent me with the rebuild kit won't fit

I'm assuming I'm suppose to use a rubber one cuz
There are no paper gaskets that fit
So I gotta a find a rubber one that will fit

I blame ADD lol

OK so next meeting is going to be the last Saturday of the month, May 29th @ 7:30pm. I really liked the Tilted kilt so I say there again is good. Does this time work for everyone? *cough madeinthe80's cough*

Ill be there...

And as far as head bolts, if you're going stock just go Toyota. 40 for intake and 40 for exhaust if I remember correctly. I'll check tomorrow and see what I can find thru work... And for future reference my work number is 972 323 9053, ask for McKenney and I'll find what you need. It's easier to go in with part numbers than make and model sometimes.
