Have to admin it's better than the cursed 240 I had... LOL Even though I think I finally blessed the car with enough love that the curse was gone. The car is still running around town.

totally agree, i usually waited for them to close their door, then locked it and locked mine on the way out of the car. saved the explanation... and their response to 1980's innovation!
To be honest, I'm not even sure how it works.
I just assumed it would only lock with an outside key in order to keep people from locking their keys in the car, similar to my Jetta and the drivers lock.

when you smack the headlight knob while driving because the headlights keep cutting off. BTW is there a fix for this?

It's loose contact on the connecter(s) just behind the knob. Pull the rectangular blank plug below the headlight turn knob and try moving or pressing the connector in a little.

speaking of headlights...
you know you own an ae86 when you have your brights on, and then go to dim them... then have NO lights cruising 65-70 mph.... jiggle the turn signal/brights switch and they come back on. hahaha gotta love dirty contacts.

I had ziptied the wiring at an angle to make better contact. It work fine for years until recenty. I'll have to come up with something better.

if you know where the "break" is in the wire why don't you cut it, solder it, and heat shrink it? never have to worry about it again.... unless you do a horrible job soldering.

You ghetto fabricate for a temporary fix but ends up being a permanent...until you need to fix it again grrr.

When you check craigslist everyday, in 10 different cities, for another 86, despite the fact you have 2 already, and couldn't afford another one even if you found one.
