John sold it to another guy in DFW. It's a really nice coupe. I wish the new owner was more involved with the local 86 community

speaking of the local community, anyone up for a small meet? id like to check out other 86's out there on the road.
I know angelo has his car in the shop right now, and not sure when its gonna be done, but would like to put some faces and names together. Im out here in Garland but willing to drive a bit to meet up.

Me and Mexelent are usually down for a meet but it seems every time we try to plan the trip to Houston for one of the big meets one of our cars goes down.
Alex (Mexelent) just needs to get his rear wheel bearings finished and I'm waiting on my ecu right now... but I think we'll have everything done by next week.

Mine is actually down right now as well. I think I need a new starter. It was giving me trouble starting as I only drove it once a week and when I let it sit for two weeks now it wont start. Battery is fine and the relays are all engaging just no noise coming from the starter. I tried tapping on it but no go. I need to take it off its just been a matter of lack of time and HEAT. I got my body kit in and ready to put on as well. As soon as I get all these done I can finally go to paint! Getting it running is my first step though.
Anyone change out a starter? Any tips?

i can offer my help as well. I actually have to install my LSD pumpking and axles, so maybe we can have an install day or something. I have a Dewalt Electric Impact Gun that usually makes jobs a bit easier.
Also, i know there's a Cousins BBQ out there in Keller that ive been wanting to try. Makes it more of an incentive to get out there!

Cousins BBQ isnt bad, I think Spring Creek is just as good. If your in the area though you gotta try Chef's Pointe. Best French food you'll ever have in a gas station.
I have a dewault 18v impact and 18v Milwaukee
Milwaukee was waaaay cheaper and a little bit nicer too. I used to get all dewault but their prices seemed to have skyrocketed lately. 18v Dewault Drill and Impact with case $299, MW Drill and impact with case $199. Seems like a no brainer to me.
Its too bad the car is in Euless at my shop though! We need to setup a shop day and get all of our stuff done. This weekend might be short notice but next weekend I don't think I have any plans. We can work up at my shop if you want.
1123 S Airport Circle
Euless, TX 76040
Thats the address so you can kinda get an idea where its at. Its just an idea, I still gotta run it by the wife too! HAH!
Think about it,
Chris

Ok, so when is a good weekend for everyone to get together for a shop day? I may have my starter put in by then but Im sure I'll have something that needs to get done.
LMK!
The NST dyno day looks fun too! We'll see if I can get her down there.
