Ok I will be in need of a place to rebuild my 16v. I will need the head port and polished, resurfaced, honed, etc etc the whole nine yards. I need a good quality shop that wont rape me on prices. I'll be dissasembling the engine and bringing it to them plus all the parts I want it rebuilt with. Anyone know of a place? I'm willing to drive but not too far.

Yeah I've heard of a good place in town but was wondering if there was a machine shop around that are familiar with 4ag's. I plan on spending around 1500 for everything (parts and labor).

That doesn't sound like the right word. Its where they put the block in a pressure wash tank, makes the block look really good and makes it easy to find problems.

Oh ok two different things then. I'm sure the place in town can do that. Supposedly they are the best machine shop in town. Probably dont have too much experience with AE86's though. But an engine is an engine in the end.

For the most part, but you do realize that engine shop would almost be as qualified as a yamaha dealership

Yamaha? I dont know. I know the black top and silver top were help built by Suzuki.

Thats the thing about this town. They may be the best around here but that doesnt say much...... Unless someone knows of a race engine builder or a builder that is familiar with drifting lmk otherwise I'll probably just get it done by the place here and hope they dont suck balls.
