alright guys, here's the thing... i just bought my f1 racing stage 3 clutch and flywheel set. installed it but noticed that the throwout bearing is completely different from my old one. so no biggy i just reinstalled the old one since it's fairly new. but it still buged me so i contacted f1 racing and send them pics and they say i have the right one, and they said the only way they can really verify if it's right or not is to compare it to the original one... and dont really wanna take apart my tranny just to take a freaking pic. so please post a pic of the original if you guys can. also learned that what i have might be for the aw11 from all the pics i saw online.

here's pics of the one they sent me.

angelo, is this on your SR20 or for a normal GTS 4AGE tranny? could you explain the fitment discrepancies a little more?

it looks just like the T50 throw out bearing except for the extra pair of small fins on the left hand side of the top picture.

does the fork not rest between the 2 ears with the holding pin(s)?

i have 2 types of throw out bearing. one is slightyly smaller than the other but the fork will still hold true to either. the I.D. of the bearing isn't snug on the input shaft of the tranny but it's not suppose to be.

that bearing looks fine to me.

Yes sir, it is for my new ae86 with a 4age. which i need to take some pics of. and the fitment discrepancies is.... i cant really explain it, it's shorter but slides into the shaft, and from what ive seen online i think it's for the front wheel drive and mid engine cars.

by shorter i take it you mean it's noticeably thinner than the stock bearing. yeah, that could affect clutch operation. you'd essentially have more distance to cover to apply the same amount of force on the pressure plate to disengage the clutch. it might or might not be negligible. the difference COULD be made up by adjusting the clutch pedal but why do that when you have a perfectly decent, factory spec one already in hand.

yeah, i'd check with the manufacturer to see if they even carry a different one for RWD models.

alright, checked with toyota and they have completely different part numbers between the FWD and RWD throwout (release) bearings. the 4AGE AW11 and AE92 share the same p/n but the RWD (SR5 & GTS share the same release bearing) p/n is different.
