what i think of initial d
what i think of initial d
i do not like initial d at all i dont know if it is just me or what. i got my car and so many people were like oh that car from initial d? so i was like ok im gonna go watch it so see what its all about. 2 episodes through it was gay as f-bomb so i said maybe its just the beginning that is gay so i watched the whole first season or whatever and i felt that i needed somebody to slap me for doing so.
i think its f-bombing stupid as shit to watch a animated 86 with tofu stickers drift on some mountain locking his wheel in a curb. initial d is probably the stupidest shit i have ever watched and i would much rather enjoy watching Pokemon than that huge pile of initial d shit.

us version= homosexual(they try to make the characters street savy or whatever)
jp version=pretty damn sweet
From what I hear the us version is like f&f in japan. I have seen the first and second season of the japanese version and it isnt bad. It is pretty technical and actually get's into real world driving technique. Of course there are still exaggerated parts but it's a cartoon, what do you expect?
Also working on your car will not teach you how to drive it. Go out to the track. There is no replacement for seat time, period. In comparison to the street, the track will provide so much more for driving skill. I havent driven in many drift events but karting has taught me alot as well as road racing (even though i havent done much of the later).
Also, the world of motorsports requires an open mind. If you cant open your eyes to realize your own faults as well as others you will never amount to much. A driver must realize he will never be the best and even if you are you can always become better than yourself.

kid, calm down you're still "johnny come lately" and not an original on the scene. none of us here are.
my family and i enjoy the initial d manga & anime very much (never saw the tokyo pop anime thank God but read a page of the tp version of the manga...'gag'! over the hip hop-ified slang). some of the situations can possibly be mythological BUT with the writer/artist being a car tuner & enthusiast himself as wells as having tsuchiya-sama as a technical consultant for the source i hesitate to brush it off as "shit".
i've raced a couple of ws6s on memorial and annoyed them to hell with always tailgating them at the 90s and S'es. i've raced a tuned civic Si on I-10 to the 610 north junction: held me at 100 yards but caught him at the junction where he lifted while i stayed in. from my own limited experiences in street racing i've already personally substantiated some of the theories and situations. Option & Hot Version DVDs have also tested the initial D situations. Hell, tsuchiya's own street/pro racing experience is the catalyst for a lot of the initial d circumstances and shitty theories.
noone has to like initial d but they shouldn't make ill-informed statements & opinions like you've been doing. that's just immature and ignorant.
people should quit hating on initial d. there's no point to it but to try and make yourself look O.G...whatever, how gay.

Thank you, very well said.dr.occa wrote: noone has to like initial d but they shouldn't make ill-informed statements & opinions like you've been doing. that's just immature and ignorant.
I enjoy watching initial d, you know why? Because its drifting! Its old school imports going at it! I can't stand most anime except for Initial D.
I am glad every day that I was intrested in the ae86 before drifting and before Initial D, If I saw Initial D first I wouldn't know if I was a Initial D fan or an ae86 fan LOL.

What was the last good book you read Nasser? Or maybe the question is "are you into any literature outside of playboy/penthouse?"projectredae86 wrote:i just think its really boring and fall asleep watching it, it just keeps showing and 86 racing another car showing their facial expressions half of the time and the other half of the time it shows their rear tail lights and drifting a turn just over and over again.
