Car Insurance?

Post by big slice »

Hey guys. Haven't posted much on behalf of getting my car legal on the streets. I'm almost finished though, I Just need to sign some more paperwork and get insurance so i can register it! Insurance has been spotty for me. Everywhere I've searched has given me a quote of 96$-116$. Thats with statefarm, liberty mutual, and some small insurance company. Its cheaper to get insurance under my name than with my parents whom have 3 cars in their policy, are over 45 years old, no tickets and have been loyal customers for a LONG time.

I thought it was because I was either Hispanic, 18 years old, or maybe a failure to yield ticket I received over six months ago. Unless these are the rates I'm expected to pay. Do you guys have any suggestions? I just want to be able to drive my car without having to worry about getting pulled over.

edit: this is all based off just liability.

Before I sold my first corolla I was paying about $25-30 a month with USAA for liability only. Not sure if you're eligible for USAA insurance but it's something to look into.
