As long as we are doing everything else on this car, are there any recommendations for bushing kits and sway bars for the Hachi Roku? My son and I figured that there is no point going to all this trouble if the car's handling is sloppy from aging bushings.

i have a couple extra bushings left over
but i went with pass racing's bushing kit i can't remember the price it wasn't too bad but they feel GREAT made a huge difference after changing out every old bushing
also T3 (techno toy tuning) they have a bushing kit it's a little more price wise but it's the same material used i believe so i believe the pass racing bushings are the best bang for your buck probably would feel the same as the T3
also TRD makes a rubber bushing kit i was going to look into im sure they would last a little longer but im not sure how much their kit is

Do you have a link? I can't find it that cheap. I must not be searching the same as you. Also, is Prothane good?

if you want to help out a good member of the community:
http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=7596" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or cheaper:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PROTHANE ... ccessories" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you'll be hardpressed to find a TRD bushing kit

IF you feel like going thru the trouble, piece together a kit of what you need/want to replace using energysuspension black bushings. They're graphite (lube) impregnated and will not bind/wear quite as fast... plus they don't squeak after the assembly lube wears off (common complaint in the 4x4 world).
I'd recommend those for the fr/rear control arms and if they're are some that will fit the sway bar d-bushings.
