ae86 axles

Post by Nasser »

ok the axles i bought for my car are zenki axles and im going to use them on a welded diff. i know that the gts non lsd axles are like 5mm longer but does it really matter which axles they are to work on the open diff?

the OPEN diff axles will work just fine with your welded OPEN diff.

and just to remind everyone, KAAZ & CUSCO LSDs will work with either toyota factory open or lsd axles. should you order one, be sure to indicate if it's a zenki or kouki application. make sure you know what axles you're 86 has especially if it was in another enthusiast's hands.

that makes no sense. open diff zenki axles won't work with open zenki diff.

i talked with rick some more this morning.

don't forget, the parts are made with tight tolerances. so a little bit of grime/dirt will make parts not want to work with each other.

anyway, rick counted the splines and they match up so he tapped it in a little to get it started and voila! they fit perfect.

case solved.

monk would have figured that out just because he hates dirt he would have done it over the phone.
