TX state Inspection for AE86

Have anyone try to do the safety inspection on your 86? the link above said if the car is older than 24 years old the emission test is not needed. One of my 86 made in 1983 I will try see if this work.

I heard this only works with people who have the Buddy Club Spec II and are Boso-style. WooT!

lol. i heard that if the car was 25 years old you don't have to worry about inspection.

to start off I'm a licensed state inspector till may so listen up.
If your car is an antique "25 years old" than it only needs a safety inspection.

you never inspected mine. instead you sent me to someone else. so i don't believe you anymore.

if you register in a county other than harris or fort bend then any year car only has to pass a saftey inspection

Well do you know that they go by a title or manufacture date? On my title it say 1984 on the door it made in 1983 which is 25 years already.
And I'm not sure if our car look "Antique" enough

just mention to them you only need a safety inspection and he will ask its year. tell him 83 or w/e
if he is stupid "most are" he wont even bother to check the vin.

If you guys come to beaumont area u can get anything inspected. all its got to have are lights, horn, and no leaks.

That sounds like an AWSOME idea lol, then I wouldn't have to worry about my no horn..
