Test drove an FR-S!!!

Post by yashiro86 »

Omg it was so awesome! That is all!!! Jk hahah but seriously the car is really sweet! When I got in it I turn to mush!!! I couldn't really "take it for a spin" I just drove it. The acceleration is nice, the thing grips the ground like no tomorrow and...and I dunno you just gotta go drive one! The only thing I didn't like was the seat was lower than imagine used to...but that's it...I WANT ONE SO BAD!!

I'm still not sold on the boxer engine yet. Hopefully it will attain AE86 status over time.

It won't man, I just don't think the car has the qualities the ae86 platform had. High revving for it's time, so the FR-S should rev to around 9ish imo. They did accomplish the ugly wheel look like the old 86's ha. Maybe that was the real trick to getting the hachi to appeal to the 80's. The 80's are back man.

Yea I don't like the boxer engine either but everything else I'm sold on! They should have beefed up the corolla xrs motor...that would have been better than a boxer imo...

trust me there is nothing wrong with a boxer motor.especially one made by subaru.at least the parts support will be better than 4ag.

Anything made in this day and age will have a better following aftermarket wise than the 4age. They know now that there is a big market in that than they did in the 80's

i like the boxer motor but i also like suby so but i like the fact that they made the motor a dirict injection system so you have better air to fuel mixture. i was in one about 6 weeks ago because i meet a guy who won some contest and i think its pretty nice ..
a 86 is an 86 no mater.
