it just dawned on me that i dont know the difference between these 2 cars. they are very simmilar but i just cant tell from google pics. from what i understand the Mango is a TE27 and the Peanut is a KE20? the outside looks to be identical between these cars. they are both about the same era/year cars. I do understand the engine differences. so are these 2 cars the same chassis or is there something im missing? i can tell the rear window is a bit different but over all they seem the same

The differences cosmetically were slight and on the exterior. The KEs came with the smaller K series motors where as the TEs came with the 2/3T or TG motors. Different countries received different models. I believe the aussies and kiwis only received the KEs where as Japan and the US, the TEs. That's about the extent of what I know about them. It isn't much I know.

yea that is about what i figured. they are very simmilar. have you seen both in person? it looks like the peanut is a bit bigger but i cant tell from pics

I couldn't tell by standing next to them. Hood lines are slightly different as well.

hmm cool i didnt see that either. its wierd cuz i cant tell much difference but i like the mango better. wierd. maybe cuz the mango is shorter over all?

The rear half of the car are difference. Taillight won't fit.

yea the mango all the way. so the fronts are the same awesome. is the peanut considered a sedan pecx? it seams to be slightly longer over all

I think people call it two-door sedan.
