It had tve 1.6 liter DOhC 4AGE red top and I would like to know can I still use cams from a blue top 4age? What about cam gears? Also it didnt come with TVIS. NST you will for sure be hearing from me. lol i just rhymed lol sorry I got a kick out of that. I know this sounds like a noob thing to say but
1.Would the red top be turbo friendly?
2. What would be the max PSI of boot a stock 4AG red top can hold?
I never really turboed a FWD car before....well not any car to put at that. I just helped work on one but What would I need?
1. Turbo
2. Turbo manifold
3. Custom down pipe
4. Custom 3 in exhaust
5. BOV
6. numerous amout of rubber hoses and T fittings
7. Universal Intercooler and piping
8. POSSIBLY BIGGER INJECTORS........IDK...
Now would the ECU need any work at all? like reflash or anything?

the large port 4ag (9.4:1 CR) would be more boost friendly due to lower CR as opposed to the small port hi-comp (10.3:1 CR).DjSpecter wrote:NST you will for sure be hearing from me. lol i just rhymed lol sorry I got a kick out of that. I know this sounds like a noob thing to say but

stock ecu, no. stand alone yes.
7mgte injectors at the least.
if you can get your hands on a GZE bottom end (7 rib like the hi-comps and 20v but w/ a CR of 8.9:1) and mate a large port head to it OR just get a hold of an entire GZE setup. then sell the supercharger only components and use that towards turbo components.
nt66 can elaborate more with his first hand experience but you get the idea.
what you don't need is a bov and 3in exhaust you will most definitely need bigger injectors and the stock ecu will not cut it and can not be re flashed. If your trying to do this for real cheap you can use a rising rate fuel pressure regulator instead of a piggy back or standalone ecu but I would not recommend itDjSpecter wrote:NST you will for sure be hearing from me. lol i just rhymed lol sorry I got a kick out of that.
