So Im gonna go turbo... Questions inside!

And I need a few questions answered and the other site didnt give me any opinions so I thought Id ask here. Its been awhile since I turbo'd an NA car.
First, this car uses an AFM, what do you do with it once you put the turbo/intercooler pipes on? Is it still used inline after the intercooler, or is it put on the intake side of the turbo??
Second, fueling, Im only going to run a small t25/t28 turbo, so are bigger injectors necessary? And would an FMU and FPR be my best starting point for controlling fuel while in boost? I used a similar setup in my turbo b16 and it worked very good, but I also had a V-AFC to control the fuel curve. From what Ive seen though the S-AFC dont work well on the ECU in this car though.
I'll post more questions later, Im distracted by I survived a Japanese Game show lol.

H8S actually ran a GZE using an FMU with an NA ecu and either gze injectors or 7mgte injectors. rick will have to chime in on it since it was his pet frankenstein. if i remember correctly, he was a running a bit rich at wot due to too high of an fmu ratio. we discussed this a bit while he had it and he could've had a better running setup by just swapping out the FMU's spring to a lower rating. it worked for him until he decided to go megasquirt.
both rick and will (nt66) should be able to answer your AFM question. i doubt will's running the flow meter since he's running MS I. since rick was running the NA ecu he may have been somehow.

afm goes on the turbo compressor inlet side. for a t25 under 10 psi injectors arnt nessissary but the highest fmu is i.e. 12-1.

Thats what I figured, it only made sense to install it that way. Now to piece together a decent turbo kit and to find someone to install/tune it at a decent price.

what do you plan on running as far as management?
12-1 fmu should be maxing fuel delivery on the stock injectors around 10 psi. and theres nothing to tune. any leaner and poof. 12-1 is as rich as you can go on an fmu. injector pulse width remains stock as fmu increases fuel pressure. past 100 psi of fuel pressure you can lock your injectors shut due to the fuel pressure. these are just too easy and if you have a wideband and can keep an eye on it, it is the simplest way. retard the timing 1* per psi of boost. and your done with the tuning.

Im looking into this finally once again. Now with the DIYPNP it will be a much easier install process. Still cant decide if Im going to build it up yet. Im thinking finding a 7 rib block and building that up instead. Then swapping it out with my 3 rib.
Anything I need to look out for on building up/bolting up to my current setup? Are there any major differences in the block other than strength?

I was gonna run a turbo setup on my 87. No one could give me much more help than "go Megasquirt or Haltech" I've since decided to go supercharged instead. Vortech s trim on a ze bottom end with a blue top head, fmic and HKS ssqv bov. I'm planning using a stock ze ecu with a piggyback tune. The fun part is gonna be building the brackets from scratch and figuring out how to run the piping...

-7mge injectors
-lite boost
-upgraded fuel pump or add an in-line bosch fuel pump using the in-tank pump as just a pick up pump.
-small fmic
-use exhaust piping and bead the pipes yourself with a diy beader

i would at very least have some sort of rising rate regulator at a minimum of an 8:1 ratio.
this would be my list of nessities and boosting on the cheap.
fmu, i had a vortec and a cheap ebay blox unit that functioned just as well as the vortec confirmed by wideband. i got a spare if you want it.
i would get some slightly larger injectors. not anything more than 40cc's larger as idle issues and exsessive fuel consumption out of boost will be pretty high.junkyard score on the cheap.
walbro drop in pump. noisy but works great. i like the noisy.cheap, like 60 bucks.
i wouldnt cheap out on the turbo but you can ebay a t25 for 200 bucks or so. i would rather get a junkyard unit. you can usually find some descent t25's on some newer saabs and volvo's they are usually a 100 bucks or so.
ebay manifold.i have a 4afe one if you want it.
40 buck audi intercooler or ebay equivelent.i also have one you can have.
80 bucks in intercooler piping. an a cheap bov.
boost gauge and wideband highly recomended.
