i'm trying to turn my CEL off so i can pass inspection. i gotta 1990 ae92 gts. when i remove the 15 amp efi fuse from the fuse box, the light is off. the second i plug that fuse back, the CEL shows it's ugly face. any suggestions? thanks. -sang

since it's an ae92 it'll be similar to the kouki 86 diagnostic connector. it'll be an enclosed box type connector.

-turn the key to the ON position (don't turn the car over).
-then pop open the cover and jumper the T terminal to the E1 terminal using a 16 or 18 gauge wire or paper clip. which ever.

then count the number of times the CEL blinks.

there's a slight pause between counts for 2 digit codes. there's a slightly longer pause between codes. then there's a long pause before the codes repeat themselves.

capice?
