I have a Gt-s coupe, drove it two days ago and when i started her up this morning she wouldnt start. i figured it was the battery so i replaced it with the battery from my 240sx (dumb decision) and one of the fuses blew. so i took the battery up to autozone so it'll charge (1hr later) installed it in my car, replaced the fuse and tried to start it. It starts makes the starting sound then it makes a pop and dies.

Could it be the: alternator or the spark plugs? i'll record a video of it tomorrow.

make sure the afm is still attached and secured and check for major vacuum leaks.

AFM? can u post a pic of that?

oh and my headlights dont flip up no more fyi but the lights still turn on

its not just the headlight motor but the engine wont start, i'm uploading a video on youtube right now and posting it here soon.

its not the battery...you gotta check the 3 main things to see if any of them are missing

Fuel - you can unhook the fuel return/supply lines and crank to see if your fuel system is working
Spark - Take off one of the plug wires, and ground it with a screwdriver to see if its sparking
Air - we can assume nothing is blocking the air getting into the engine.

If youre not getting fuel, check to see if your fuel pump is turning on, if not, check to see if the circuit opening relay is working right.

If youre not getting spark, check connections with igniter and coil to see if any of those connections are bad. might want to check to see if any grounds came loose as well.

first, check to make sure fuel pump works. look on the afm harness for a 2-wire rectangular connector. use a paper click and jumper the connection with the key on "ON." put your ear next to the fuel tank to make sure the fuel pump is running.

Afterwards, when you have the key on "ON" make sure the check engine light is on.

I would also check all ground connections. there is one ground connector on top of the intake manifold that is nortorious junking up or going loose.

it sounds like the fuel pump is going out. i bet pressure is there and volume is not. i only say this because if you wait a second then crank it tries to fire up but if you keep cranking nothing happens, let it sit again and it tries to fire. undo the pressure line to the fuel rail and check for pressure and volume.
