Pulling apart this motor and its a nightmare... cant believe it even ran haha. Well pulling my cams and found the cams are pretty deeply scored aswell as the caps and journals.... also the #1 exhaust bolt hole has been "repaired"... head looks junk to me....

It's trash. I had one recently do the same. I can get you new oem bigport cams for $100 each though.

I figured as much, just wanted to be sure.. thanks for the confirmation. Luckily Im getting another longblock to rebuild, so I don't think I need the cams. On another note toyota reliability ain't no joke fellas, wouldn't believe half the stuff I found while tearin this one down....and it still ran, I even drove it briefly... amazing.
