no it isn't unless you dont m=need the map ports anymore and block them off. Also you would need to port match the head. Also there is no point swapping this over unless you have a very serious engine

^ i second that.

additionally: going larger runners, stacks, ports, etc...isn't necessarily always good. when going to a "wider" set of ports, you're doing so usually with the intention of taking advantage of aggressive cams and opening up the upper range of your rpm band for more power production. the bt IIRC should actually have a higher redline than that of its silvertop predecessor as well as sporting lighter bottom end internals.

but the only thing thats lighter is the rods and that limits your revs. The rod bolts are the weakness is the silvertop but it gives you atleast an extra 500RPM

also what does IIRC mean?

hmm what about parts that you would need to be able to run a silvertop open stack? i'm not sure but i do know you need the blacktop ecu for sure.

If I Remember Correctly. it's called lazy typing

yep, just the rods are lighter.

for open ITBs on the ST, you need the BT ecu (as you already mentioned) harness and sensors (primarily the map sensor).

oh alright thanks :D that helps a bunch. hopefully i can get my silvertop up and running soon. would anyone happen to have a manual for doing the silvertop timing belt? i know it's not like the blacktop one. but a spring type instead.

yeah unfortunetly I can't do it for quite a while due to the state of my workshop. It has been my plan for a while to make a breif video version of my cooling guide as well. Anyway enough of me being off topic in this thread.
