4ac Carb

Post by rywats »

Hi.

The other day I bought a 4ac carb rebuild kit and I just finished up the install and put it back in the car. It starts up great and idles great.

I took it for a drive and its not producing enought power to drive. It won't rev really at all, seems like its fludding when its driving.

I know a few of you are carb experts so what are some adjustments I should make? Any help?

Thanks, Ryan.

-did you set the the float level correctly and needle?
-double check that you didn't leave out/reverse any gaskets or forget a jet and/or o-ring(s)

I can't see that I left any o rings etc out, was left with nothing.

Ill double check the float level. How would this cause this bogging?

if you're getting too much fuel or not enough, the float level may not be adjusted properly to close the needle at a particular fuel level in the bowl.
