Event isn't untill sunday,I wouldn't expect too much if I do get some video. The car has stock supension and stock 3 cyl with 55hp(when it was new),just been lightened and some race rubber.I'm running it in open mod too get at least some points for when the new car debuts, depending on who shows up I'm thinking a top 5 is a bit of a long shot but..... :)

Well the little 30whp(not kidding, actually be surprised if its that much)beat the hell outa me trying to maintain momentum.I got 1 vid from the 2nd run, just need to edit and get it loaded to youtube.

Lots of errors to pick from,my hand position wasn't great-mostly due to it being the 1st event and the wicked slow rack in this thing.Kept finding myself needing more input mid corner and not having time to reposition the paws,I wasn't too bad on cutting the cones close but should've been closer on most.

Btw you can't tell from the vid when I get it posted but the car 2 wheeled thru the 2 hard right hand sweepers,a little unnerving at 1st to feel the inside front touching the ground every now and then-like they say no guts no glory right?. :)

Sorry for the lack of a vid, haven't had much luck editing the gopro and not much time to spend on finding and trying out an editing program. My other cheapo camera has a built in edit program, you'd think gopro would as well.If anyone has found an easy and simple(so that maybe even I can figure it out)please pass it along.

I ran another autox today, was a car whore and drove 2 different cars.1st run was in a stripped out MR2 with mild suspension upgrades and stock engine,it was raining and the car seriously lacked grip with the older 710's so I wrangled another ride.It was an old prelude with gutted interior but stock everything else with not as old R888 toyo's.
Prelude was much better in the wet,I ran it in mod class where the MR2 is classed and was 2nd fastest outright after 4 runs.Started to dry and the prelude started to understeer more and more so I again jumped ship and went back to the MR2.Quite a difference between the 2 but in the dry the MR2 was faster-but so was all the other dudes with more power being able to now use it.
Ran the last 3 runs of the day in the MR2,finished with a 4th fastest overall,3rd in class and just under 2 seconds ahead of the car owner.

Here's the vid in the Geo,keep in mind its only got 50hp at the engine-its not so fast.

You'll see that my hands aren't very well placed, ended up with close together on the wheel several times-no idea why really. Also with the very slow rack in this I kept miss judging where to start my hand position and ended up crossing my arms way more then I ever have.
I was ok with the cutting the cones but was late into the far slalom which I stayed late all the way thru as is normally the case. This was only the 3rd run,I was about a 1.5 seconds quicker by the last run.

your slalom work is nice tom. i was watching your left cornering (since that's where the camera was stuck!) and i liked your inside clipping. would've liked to see your braking but hey, there ain't no forza or gran turismo replay option here.

Thanks,I was going to stick the camera on the other side after that since I really wanted to know how close I was cutting that side but I dropped the camera after that run and it wouldn't work.Turned out after I got home and looked at it closer the memery card had popped so the camera wouldn't turn on.
I also wanted it on that side to see how far up the passenger side front wheel was up,at least a couple inches for sure by the feel of it.

Braking was nearly non existant,no power meant all effort was used to maintain momentum-by the last couple of runs I trusted the car (just) enough that there wasn't even a throttle lift in a few of those spots

I'm going to run another solo this weekend(ony the 3rd time out this year...which sucks)but I'm in the geo(which sucks even more)but at least I've swapped to stiffer springs up front and cut rears(didn't have the right diameter springs kicking around to fit)
Other than that its the same, hopefully it'll stay on its wheels-well at least 3 at any one time. :D

I'll try and get a vid or 2 for more examples of what not to do,supposed to rain which may be a bonus for the 50hp turd agaisn't the 200whp prepped civics I have to run agaisn't.

Now why hasn't others posted some more vids?,I wanna see some track day/drift/autox/solo1 and time attack action in whatever your driving. :)
