silly muffin.

for all intents and purposes, i know this will be a cheaper route being that you've already been sitting on the engine for the past 2-3 years when it was SUPPOSE to go in to the 4dr AE92.

so, are you going to just bang in the firewall and keep the dizzy in the stock location? it will keep cost down. besides, bellville cody appears to have already did some work on that chassis in that area ;).

remember, the bolt hole on the AE86 header and that of the front of the 20v head for securing the headers will not line up with one another. but it's just one bolt and it can still be secured down.

do you have the ecu and harness for it?

i'm gonna get a cheap daily and do it right (dr.) probably order a megasquirt (we'll see how anxious i get to get it in) and run the cas so i can refrain from anymore abuse to the chassis

also, i do know about the header issue and i plan on just running the 16v obx unit i have.

oh, and i do have the stock ecu and harness for the motor

Rob when you going to do the swap? What else you need to do the swap?
Mega squirt are you going to run with EDIS?

with MS you MAY be down a little bit longer than you might expect. it all depends if you assemble everything (unit, relay board -not a necessary just added insurance against frying the MS unit and harness) OR buying everything already assembled. the quickest route will be the latter BUT you'll still have to perform some modifications to the MS unit if you plan to use the distributor for timing and ignition. EDIS will require a little time and extra money for the waste spark components (i.e. crank trigger 36-1 wheel, EDIS unit, coil pack(s) and plug wires) and that will be a few more wires to route and things to mount. the former (fact. 20v dist.) would most likely be less down time.

these are things to let you know that will most likely be on the road up ahead for you.

that's a lot of money. rick picked up an MS, relay board and stimulator + harness parts for half that. are you sure you can't find a better deal on an MS setup?
