cant figure out my car problem!!!!!

first off i have a completely stock 4age in my 87 coupe gts.

there are NO check engine lights(anyone know how to get it to flash at me? as in which pins on the dlc connector to jumper?)

the issue is it bogs anytime below 4000rpms and is really hard to start.

it is running very very rich, i thought it might be because of a misfire but its still very rich above 4000rpms when it quits misfiring.

i have replaced the o2 and afm with know good parts(my little brothers perfectly running 87 gts coupe)

i have spec"ed the coolant temp sensors with alldata's specifications and are good.

the cam timing is perfect.

the ignition timing is fully retarded on the distributor if i advance it back to 10* it will just die out and wont restart.

ignition timing was checked with a timing light and is on the correct tooth just running about 40*btdc.

the fuel pressure regulator was swapped with a known good part(my little bro's again)

fuel filter was replaced with new unit

the injectors are all clicking very clean.

the 5th injector was removed and the port plugged to verify it was not stuck open.

the egr was also removed and plugged to verify that it was not stuck open.

the catalitic converter is close to brand new and is not clogged(issue still happens with no cat back exhaust.

the motor is pulling 22hg's on the vacuum when i can get it to idle.(same as my little brothers.)

a compression test was performed and a perfect 180 psi on ALL cylinders.
(there is a little water in the oil. when i bought the car the spark plug valley was full to the brim with water.i'm assuming this is where it came from.) oil changed today.

fuel was drained from the tank and known good gas applied.

also i put a timing light on all plugs to make sure that spark was not dropping out and every wire is firing beautifully with no drop out.

the only thing i havnt replaced is the ecu and its on the list for tomorrow.

also is it possible to have a headgasket leak and still make 180psi on all cylinders?

i think thats it. mick if i'm missing anything post it up!

i just dont know what to do next besides the ecu. any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

i will do guys.

i forgot to try the tps too, i heard it will run just fine with it unplugged but it could be messed up sending a wide open throttle signal too the ecu.

i already swapped the fuel pressure regulator with my brothers good one and it didnt fix it.

any reason why you are running 40 degrees btdc? spec is at 10, but it seems like the car will die out? crank pulley has shifted?

check ground wire on top of intake manifold.

it wont even start if its at 10*btdc. i can get it too start if i advance it to -40+btdc. the crank pulley is keywayed so i doubt it shifted.but ill check anyways. also if i start the car and try to retard the timing back to -10*s it just dies.

also i will check that ground on the intake right now.

i didnt see a ground on the intake. where is it located\where does it bolt to the manifold? is it on the intake to cylinder head bolts?

never mind i found it. if it was a snake i'd be dead.

this is where the ecu grounds?

im going to run an extra ground from where that wire grounds to where the ground cable meets the chassis.

tps unplugged the condition has not changed.

im waiting for my little brother to show up to try switching the ecu's.

i think i figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!

i pulled the ecu and it been taco'd!!!!

like bent in half... the top panel that can be removed has been smashed in and the connector plastic reciever is cracked where the ecu has been taco'd

what the f'n a is wrong with people!!

im pretty sure this is the problem. my little brother is draggin ass about coming over today.

as soon as i can post pics of this ecu i will.

DOUBLE CHECK TIMING IF NOT TRY COIL ?
