Caliper Brackets...
Caliper Brackets...
Alright... I've been trying to have these made for quite some time now. I finally got the opportunity to learn how to program and run a CNC Mill so I'm making them myself.
** This bracket uses the very commonly swapped FC 4 piston caliper with a 276mm Mini Cooper rotor (roughly 10.8 inches). Requires a minimum of a 15" wheel (Sorry Jonas!).
Here are just a few pics to give everyone an idea of what I'm making...

i forget, can you run the stock corolla rotors with this or do you have to change them out?

I don't know yet. The guys in Europe and Australia using the FC calipers are the ones who told me about using a Nissan master cylinder. I'm going to put one of the first sets on my corolla to see how it does and determine (in my opinion) if the 7/8" bmc still feels like I want it to. If it doesn't I'll try the Z32 master cylinder and see if it improves or gets worse. Either way... I'll give everyone my honest opinion and go from there on whether or not to make more.mooreofmick wrote:arron they look sweet. do they work well with the master cylinder?

theres no doubt that they will brake more effeciently. have you made a post on club4ag? theres probably money to be made here but i might be mistaken, there might be some other's available to the aftermarket. i dunno i havn't checked yet.

There's one guy on club4ag that's already making these brackets. I'll be looking into making these for those who are interested but let me get the proto-types made first and at least show you guys what the finished part looks like.

This is where the brackets stand right now. I had to get it to the correct thickness and it's saving me alot of time by doing this before I cut them out.
I was hoping to get the holes done and have all 8 pieces cut out today but the mill I want to use won't be available until the beginning of next week so I'm shooting to have them completed by next weekend. Then off to get anodized.
