has any one used these people before? how do i find out if they are a legit site and so on? i'm looking for a good pair of 195/55/15 tires, for as cheap as i can find them and still get them in before the event. so far they have been the cheapest.

when i lived in dallas i would go to a place called hams used tires...lol used to get them for 25 mounted and balanced...

i think i'm going with the Kumho Ecsta AST from tirerack.com

found them for $126.78 for 2 shipped to my door.

plus i found a great review on them.

Actually, not sure what the complaints are regarding these tires... I am a racing instructor for a few different road racing groups (SCCA, HSR, NASA, PCA, BMWCCA) and I love these things on my wife's 1990 miata with a mild upgrade in struts... In the dry, they stick like glue, and I have used them in the wet on a couple of tracks. They do just fine in the wet! It may be because I have a smoother input, but I was VERY impressed, and now when I run this at a track day I only need to bring 1 extra set of tires.... I have 13K on them and they still pump a ton of water and are stable in the corners wet or dry. I wonder if the complaints are due to lack of driver education or maybe the wrong application? And when it comes to the Lexus running 40 PSI in them, that was your fault, not the tire.. Anyway, I'd buy again!

back home we have a place that sells $10 used 15" tires with decent tread on them. but these are going to be for the front so i need something good.

tirerack is good. just purchased some dunlop dz101. but if u wer still here in the valley at F street there every where u know. looks new for 20 installed. hehe.
