Are you sure it's 44ft/lb ?
Accrording to my Haynes manual it's 44 but some body with toyota manual said 22 lb + 909 degree + 90 degree
What I did was I torque it first at 22 lb then do 44 lb what happened was the 2nd (44lb) went less than 90' (about 65')

So the 22lb + 90 + 90 would be something like 60lb???

little Confuse here. ( Dont wanna do it again) (^_^)
Tip, Do you know that TRD head gasket is 27 cens cheaper than toyota OEM head gasket.

in my toyota book it says 44ft/lb and i'm using the TRD .5mm headgasket. i think when you use tyhe arp you have to the 90 degree stuff

It's thin 0.8 or 0.5 mm = higher compression. And re use able.

All the more reason to buy TRD!

pec just do it according to the FSM. it's what i did:

600 kg-cm / 43 ft-lb / 59 N-m

The only reason you would do diffrent than this is if you are using aftermarket bolt i.e. arp then you use arp's tourqe specs
