for some reason the needle on the oil gauge works sometimes but then sometimes doesn't the connector is on the pickup pretty well im not sure what could cause that, i mean it's full with oil but sometimes the needle won't even move
what could be causing that??

oh ok weird though someone gave me a new one i figure it wouldn't just go out but oh well, can you pick them up at autozone or napa i assume?

Im pretty sure you can. Alot of toyota's of the day used them. Might also check the connection to you guage cluster. A loose connection with vibe from driving could give the guage the on/off freak out.

i picked up a new one, put it in and same thing is happening @_@

Did you check that the wire doesn't have breaks in it or is ground out somewhere on the way to the gauge?
