My steering feels super nasty

Sorry that I keep making threads on issues with my corolla lol but I just need the wise men knowledge.
What I mean by what I'm talking is that when I'm driving the car and I start turning the steering wheel I have to turn a lot more to take a turn than usual. Then out of nowhere she kicks in hard to turn.
Has anyone had these issues, if so please let me know.
Thanks

Yes I have power steering, should I take it off?
I do plan on drifting this car so do I need it for drifting?

It's just weird and there are times where I can move the steering wheel and it barely turns the car

something isn't right. check your tie rods for excess play

So you think changing my tire rods would fix that?

did you delete p/s? as in, are the fluid feed in/out lines on the rack plugged? if so, they should be looped. when i plugged them, i had a very similar problem, til i heard a loud POP, then fluid was all over the parking lot. once the seals blew, it was fine.

power steering in these cars doesn't make that much difference. I loved my de-powered setup I had in my old one, easy enough that even my 114lb skinny wife could drive it with 0 issues.

^yeah, my manual rack is sooo easy to turn. i took it apart, cleaned it, and slapped it back together. turn one handed. the de-powered rack was too, after the seals blew

(+1)2 <-poor attempt at a complex equation
I concur with both
McKenney &
morgan.
If your car is lowered, it sounds sort of like you may have bump steer. It also sounds like bad ball joints/tie rods. These are really easy things to fix though. Also, just double-check your u-joint is secure both at the rack and the column - make sure neither bolts are loose or mia. Don't strip 'em now if they're loose. Just make them snug.

yep it does make a difference but I recently put a manual rack in my car and love it as well and love it but I only went that route because my car never had the p/s pump and the lines in the rack were looped. It felt like shit and I didn't feel like sourcing out a p/s pump and all that.
