damn this sorta reminds me of that quote from pulp fiction (those who seen it) when john travolta was saying his car got keyed and saying it would have been worth the person doing it for him to catch them >:l

There should be a law that makes teenagers get jobs when they're not in school. I honestly think that they're imaginations are in such a state of atrophy that they do the absolute most retarded things to occupy their time. In my neighborhood it's the same thing. Over the summer and Christmas breaks vandalism increases noticeably. If I ever catch anyone touching my car in anyway other than a loving matter I will break their fingers. If that is what they consider fun...they need a long, drawn out beating...and then need to be driven out of town about 10 miles and left there...blind folded, gagged and without a phone.

Unfortunately you weren't as lucky as I was. I spent 4 or 6 days in jail many, many years back. This exact same thing happened to my old Fox-body I had. It didnt have like a sqeaky clean paint job or anything but it was decent. I think I had just gotten my shaker hood too.
Anywho, I was just so happening to pick up a friend of mine that worked at a store that surrounds the local mall. Well we were walking back to the car when I noticed some punks were messing with my car. One was jumping on my hood and the other was, I'm assuming, trying to get inside the car. I walked slowly to the area, acting like I was going to another car, until I was close enough to start sprinting. I began running. They then ran and I swung at one and caught him in the back of the head, I didn't know if I fazed him or not. I did catch the one that was on my hood. Man they picked the wrong guys car to mess with. This was back when i was young, DUMB, careless, physically fit and fighting was a sport for me. :D I caught up to him, lunged at him and pushed him at the same time, in which he tripped and I then went to work. LOL! After a few minutes, he was gone. I can't remember how much longer I was still hitting him after he became unconcious. I know I broke a finger, bruised my hands badly and stubbed a toe. He suffered a broken nose, broken jaw, he lost teeth, had 2 broken ribs and a face full of blood and if there was anymore damage done, I don't know.

But least to say, I managed to get his address where he lived in this whole process, went to where he lived after I was released and spoke to the parents. Essentially we both dropped charges and we went our ways. Never knew what happened to the guy afterwards.

LOL! Jonas. You're such a goof. Good ol' Marvel comics.

As far as what I did, I don't regret what I did considering there were no reprocussions from the incident. If he (they) would of pressed charges, who knows what would of happened. If it happens again, I'd be more reluctant to take the same route I did when I was younger and wild. I'd more than likely just get a few swings in then pin him down until security or 5-0 showed up. As much as I'd want to take the same route, I would have second thoughts about what could happen. Just never know, I could be walking into a knife fight or even worse a gun fight for all I know.
