If there are fewer people taking flights then it becomes less of an appealing target for terrorists. Profiling has more support from common sense then "ethnic sensitivity" does.

The post 9/11 argument is just an excuse for a move towards a more infringing government/nanny state.

Listen...do you hear that? That's the sound of the boots of INGSOC approaching.

Keep in mind, this is all just procedural and behavioral training to get the populace at large gradually accustomed to an increasingly invasive government. As it continues and these "authorities" remain in place, the following generations will have become more acquiescent and be the more willing sheep desired by the ruling class. This is proletariat speech on my part. Marxism, socialism & communism is complete rubbish. Where do you think the rubbish finds its authoritarian beginnings?

If I've offended anyone, sorry but in real life you have to deal with real ideas even if they're in opposition to your own. That's called the town square of life.

And even more instances of stupidity.

Obviously the people in the Washington Post poll have never traveled abroad. Moreover, flying, like driving a car, is not a right, but a privilege.

That's why I don't fly... Too much nonsense. Not to mention, if some moron tries to hijack the plane I'm on with a friggin' box cutter... I'm gonna get cut but he's gonna get dead!!!
