my friend said he feels bad for the people killed but not for the person who is killed speeding. i don't feel to bad for the people that were killed in this story. they were standing on the side of the road at 3am watching illegal street racing. they knew what they were doing was wrong and that shit can happen. what i don't understand is why there was a 61yr old man out there as well as a mother with her kids.

Re: street racing
the person killed speeding maybe behaving irresponsibly but intending malice. your friend should acquire a little bit more understanding and try to be more just when making a judgement call. there isn't anything wrong with judging so long as you judge JUSTLY.landslideATX wrote:my friend said he feels bad for the people killed but not for the person who is killed speeding. i don't feel to bad for the people that were killed in this story. they were standing on the side of the road at 3am watching illegal street racing. they knew what they were doing was wrong and that shit can happen. what i don't understand is why there was a 61yr old man out there as well as a mother with her kids.

anyway, it's actually upsetting that the crown victoria driver didn't have his lights on! if you watch the report footage, it's still DARK! if the report is correct, why didn't the "innocent driver (commuter)" have his lights on? also, if there was tire smoke obscuring his vision up ahead at this one particular spot, why wouldn't he slow down for fear of hitting something? you would think that it's dark, headlights are off & there's a strange cloud of thick smoke in the middle of the road out of no-where, one would slow down and proceed with caution. there might be an alien space craft in the midst of the smoke ready to abduct you or a big sink hole in the middle of the highway and possibly an object(s) in the middle of the road that you may slam into!
i wouldn't be surprised if it was revealed the driver was a sleep at the wheel on his/her early morning start.
it may have been against ordinances/regulations to spectate but let's be realistic here, were their intentions to bring harm to others and wreak havoc with mal-intent? if any of them were God fearing people, i highly, highly doubt St. Peter would deny them access.
